Today, Tuesday, 12/12/2023, the Graduate Follow-up Unit at the Faculty of Arts was organized in cooperation with Prof. Mona Taha, Assistant Professor of Journalism in the Department of Media - Faculty of Arts - Mansoura University, and a member of the Community Service and Environmental Development Committee at the Faculty.
A workshop for students of the College’s Media Department and interested students and graduates entitled: Modern journalistic forms - mobile journalism (tools and applications), under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of the University, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Development Affairs. Environment and Leadership, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Suleiman Al-Jaidi, Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Suhair Waheed, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Rania Rawhi, Director of the Alumni Follow-up Unit. The researcher, Prof. Prof. Rashid Salah El-Din Rashid, Master of Journalism, and doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University
The workshop revolved around the definition of mobile journalism, the stages of its development, and the reasons for its use, as it is considered a form of new media, as journalists use smartphones and computers to collect, edit, and distribute news. It also addressed the most important mechanisms for using mobile phones, knowing the sources of news, tracking it, avoiding deep fakes of videos, and spreading awareness among people. The community to use these technologies to prevent electronic blackmail, and how to be professional in using mobile journalism tools, and excerpts of the content were presented via the data show and discussed.
